Good Friday Appeal

Representing the State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT), Board Member Nicole Livingstone awarded $21,737 to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Channel 7’s Good Friday Appeal during April.

The donation was raised in conjunction with Bovis Lend Lease (BLL), the company in charge of the Royal Children’s Hospital construction, through a need to find suitable parking for BLL contractors to park their work vehicles.  The State Netball Hockey Centre (SNHC) next door was the perfect solution.  

SNHC made parking available for up to 500 contractor cars, ensuring public parking was not compromised at the Royal Children’s Hospital. 

In what has been a very successful arrangement between SSCT and BLL, an average of 150 cars parked per day, with $1 from every parking fee put towards the Good Friday Appeal donation. 

The State Sport Centres Trust is delighted to be able to make a contribution to such a worthy cause.
